Disneyland Paris on a Budget
The feeling of sheer excitement as you stand side by side with Tigger. The thrill of Thunder Mountain or the plucky singalong tunes of the Disney Parade. Loud: yes, Exciting: yes, Expensive: not so! Let me share with you some nifty hints to keep your budget lower than expected and still have a great time.
Hint 1- The Meal Package. Although it seems like a great old expense added to your holiday bill when you book, it can save you much needed cash. Consider a ‘meal’ is considered a main plate, a drink and a desert for each setting, it dawns on you just how to spread the load. Your desert, whether a fruit salad or a blueberry muffin, can easily be used for breakfast the nest day! The portions are huge anyhow so save that mouth watering muffin as a tasty breakie!
Hint 2- Take advantage of everything that’s free. Parades, evening entertainment out side the parks which happen every night. Singer, jugglers, joker all manner of things happen every night. All for free.
Hint 3- Use the free transport. Don’t bring the car, it’s too costly. With petrol prices at an all time high and the exhaustion you’ll feel after miles of walking around the park, hop on a bus instead. Ok so you have to wait in line a little but you never know who you’ll meet.
Hint 4- Laundry. Instead of paying for your luggage, take advantage of the free washing machines in certain hotels. They come complete with powder too. In that case you only need to bring hand luggage on the plane. No luggage costs then.
Hint 5- Airport eating. While at the airport, bring a picnic! Find a spot to sit and eat your homemade sandwiches and cake. Much more fun than overpriced coffee and a packet sandwich costing around £6 a head. With a family of 4 that’s a whopping £24. £24 which could be used to spend at Disneyland Paris.
So, if travelling to Disneyland Paris on a budget, just bare these things in mind. Money saved here and there can be used to turn a broke trip into the trip of a lifetime.
