Automatic Dialer Software managing the computer and phone lines is at the root of any automatic dialing system. It is an invisible agent automatically placing calls, playing prerecorded messages or relaying information.

There are some features one must have in mind before buying an Automatic Dialer Software. Buying an expensive software with a lot of (un)useful features for single operated/employed company is just a loss of money. Call-center-like organized companies should consider predictive dialer software depending on the number of employees and phone lines.

Call dynamic represents an alteration of its dialing habits to fit the list (a large number of busy signal leads to increase in the total amount of dialed alert). It depends on a software potency.

Call distribution represents rational distribution of calls among numerous computers. When connecting call center agents to consumers, the Automatic Dialer software will need to sustain phone line to agent/operator ratio of 1.5:1 or 2:1. It will need to interpret the quality of the dialed numbers (answer, no answer, busy, invalid number), the average call duration etc.

A Campaign contains a “to dial” list of phone numbers and message(s) to play to the receiving unit. “To dial” list includes information such as contacts name/address or relevant demographic information. Messages differ from reminders to requests for bill collection etc. Some software offer  Multiple Prompts Capability; generating several messages to be delivered in individual cases (an answering machine, voice mail system, a live person).

FCC compliant feature insures following FCC regulations for telemarketing. It must include “do not call” list. Some have an “Opt Out” option. A person not wanting to receive information from a company can add its number to a “do not call” list by pressing instructed key.
