Ali Abdullah Saleh; Dialogue Will Solve Crisis With Opposition
The president also said there are reactionary elements that do not want the country to move forward but backwards like the way it was before independence.
His statement comes after the deaths of 26 tribesmen fighting with government troops.
Ali Abdullah Saleh also said elections are not going to be held before 2013 and therefore the opposition should stop demanding for elections now.
He also said his government has a very good plan of how power is going to be decentralized and how the constitution is going to be amended so that more power are given to local authorities.
Nevertheless, in order to solve the crisis in the country discussions have to be in place and opposition leaders are welcome so that negations can start, he asserted.
"The opposition needs to know that power can only be achieved through ballot boxes and not through issuing bad statements or coups”.
The president told the youth “You should not join opposition leaders because they want to introduce the rule of imams in Yemen”.
