Judge Ahmed Rafaat Angers Egyptians Over Mubarak's Live Trials
Some of the key demands that the demonstrators were making for when they toppled Hosni Mubarak from power was a public trial of the former president, for the murder of thousands of protesters and corruption.
The former president has been coming to court in a stretcher and enclosed in a cage and shielded from cameras by his two sons these actions do not go well with some Egyptians.
Some have even said that the court is going to favor Hosni Mubarak and his two sons.
Mohammed Manie deputy justice minister said what the judge said is true "The presence of media at the courts and live broadcast is going to affect the environment."
The decision was made by the judge alone and not the government. He added to say "The reason why I support the decision is because the witnesses will be protected”.
Mahmud al Khodeiri a former judge said “The case of the former president and his two sons is special therefore transparency is needed”.
