Unstopable will have you begging for more
“Unstoppable” produced by 20th Century Distribution, staring Denzel Washington, has grossed a total of $78,566,115. It is full on action packed and will have you on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next. Director Tony Scott does a great job keeping the viewer wanting more.
From beginning to end this movie is intriguing and full of action. “Unstoppable” starts off with a young recruit, played by actor Will Colson, teaming up with a veteran, played by Denzel, that helps him learn how the ropes in railway safety. During the course of the morning a freight train, that is a half-mile long, gets ahead of conductors who are unable to stop it. Colson and Denzel are shocked to find out that the freight train is carrying enough combustible substances that have the capability to put a nearby city in flames and ruins. Complete chaos ensues when the railway owner and numerous associates are unable to stop it in its tracks. It is left up to Denzel and Colson to put a stop to the trains moving progress, putting both of them in danger. In the mix of everything Denzel and Colson's characters battle issues from their own personal lives. Colson plays a father who is unable to see his son or wife, due to a restraining order. After accusing his wife of cheating and confronting the man in question with a gun, Colson's wife slaps a restraining order on him. Denzel is dealing with parenthood issues. He is a busy father who forgets his daughters birthday. The death of his wife also haunts Denzel throughout the movie.
Tony Scott does a beautiful job directing the action scenes. “Unstoppable” is loaded with action scenes, drama, and suspense. Including scenes like Denzel Washington jumping onto each train car, an explosion of a rescue cars first attempt to derail the train, and Colsons brave attempt to hook the runaway train to their trolly. Explosions of smoke and fire are in every scene. It has a heartwarming ending that wraps all aspects of the movie up with good measure.
“Unstoppable” is based on a true story. The movie has been released in theaters since November 12, 2010. It was filmed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is available for viewing in Cinemagic theaters across the United States.
