Google Fires Employee for Leaking Salary Memo
Earlier this week, the Internet giant has promised to give a 10 percent hike in salary to its 23,000 global employees. The salary hike is to be imposed by the starting of next year, 2011.
The pay hike was a move to motivate its appointees to continue working with Google rather than shifting their jobs to rivals, such as Facebook.
A survey shows about 10 percent of Facebook employees have worked for Google in the past.
However, Google has recently kicked an employee out of the company as he was accused of leaking the hike. It had shown way out of the company to one of the employees who had supposedly leaked the internal memo to Fortune and Business Insider.
CNN money reported the news and said Google notified the other employees of the termination of the accused.
Since last few weeks, Google has seen a number of employees leaving the company. Co-founder of AdMob-Omar Hamoui, YouTube co-founder and CEO Chad Hurley and creator of Google Maps and Wave- Lars Rasmussen are few big shots who left Google within past few months.
