Indian Entrepreneur wants Obama to Take a Ride in Rickshaw
He had met Obama twice. Once in April at the Entrepreneurship Summit in Washington DC; and 2nd time on Saturday as a member of the first business delegation that met US President at Hotel Trident in Mumbai.
28-year-old Irfan Alam is a true representative of strong and independent youth of India. He is obsessed with Obama and now desires to have President Obama as a sawari in his rickshaw.
Alam has marked his name as a young entrepreneur while working for streamlining the lives of rickshaw pullers in the country.
Expressing his wish, Irfan said he not only wants Obama to ride the rickshaw along with him but also wants the president to become an ambassador for the greener means of transport.
Chairman of Samman foundation, Irfan has touched the skies at a very young age. His organization is active in the uplifting the lives of rickshaw-pullers and their families.
He has also been praised by Obama who acknowledged the youngster to make sincere efforts in creating jobs for illiterate people. Irfan, in an interview with an Indian daily said, Obama himself was interested into creating more jobs as well as encouraging entrepreneurship.
He told the journal about Obama’s promise of supporting all the actions taken to generate more enterprenuers. Alam said with the consultation of the US, he has set up Center for Entrepreneurship Excellence.
The new institute will help in producing more and more entrepreneurs.
Irfan holds management degree from IIM-Ahmedabad.
