Stephen Sharp Sentenced to 9 Months in Jail for Powder Mix Fed Fraud
In what disgraced the former pilot’s career, a federal judge passed a sentence that assured Stephen Sharp of nine months of troubles and getting to know how jail life can be a misery. Nine good months in jail is what US District Judge David Cercone recommended for the pilot cum illegal businessperson, Stephen Sharp.
Sharp was jailed after being found guilty selling powdered drink mix. The mix was meant for airport staff, especially pilots, airport truck drivers, and train engineers to use when taking federal drug tests. Stephen Church is from Orange Fla. He appealed for probation promising to check on his conduct and social status. Unfortunately, the federal judge turned his appeal down and preferred nine months in jail instead for the offense.
US District Judge David Cercone pointed out that, the gravity of Stephen Sharps actions were profound. He insisted that the actions were not only harmful but also posed a significant risk to the health and safety of many who would have been served by those who used the mix yet they abused drugs during their duties.
Stephen Sharp is a former pilot at PSA Airlines. He lost his job in May 2008. Stephen also ran the website www.yourintheclear.com. He pleaded guilty to the charges of conspiracy to defraud the feds. According to the judge, the powder mix helped defeat the federal drug test, which only meant Stephen Sharp, was bent on defrauding the federal government. Sharp’s lawyer made no comment and Sharp was sent to prison for 9 months.
