Real Life Shrek is New Favorite
While a portion of people agree, another number of people disagree, saying it is just a lumpy fish.
A scuba diver video taped a shot of a fish that looks like Shrek. Some believe anyway. The fish resembles the Ogre only by its beady eyes, bulbous forehead and huge chin. The fish is said to be about 30 years old. It was found off the island of Sado in Japan. The video was sent by the divers last week to WYFF-TV. The unique fish is now splashed across the media for the entire world to see.
The fish is originally called an Asian sheepshead wrasse. The sheepshead wrasse is known for its unusual appearance. They are best known because of their black beady eyes, bulbous forehead and chin, and large sized body. The sheepshead is also known as Semicossyphus reticulates. They are rare and a descendant of Labridae family. According to Wikipedia it is found in a few select Countries such as China, Japan, North Korea, and South Korea.
The sheepshead likes to take up residence in open seas, shallow water, and aquatic beds with very little waves. They also like to visit coral reefs as well. The sheepshead is not an ocean fish that you hear a lot about. It has caused a lot of media attention in the past however due to its extremely unusual appearance. Unfortunately because of the rare species there is not a lot of information about how they live and the underwater animal itself.
No reports have been made as to whether this fish will officially be called Shrek or not. The public has taken a liking to him, just as they have taken a liking to the onscreen ogre himself. The video on Yahoo News hasn’t had a lot of views as of yet but there have been 15 Buzz Up votes, 219 likes from facebook, and 18 retweets from Twitter.
