Hurricane Earl Downgraded to Storm Status
The good news is that the dreaded hurricane Earl failed to impress after its strengths waned early today. The failure to gain more strength to power it across the sea to the gulf allowed the national weather services to classify the hurricane as a tropical storm. The storm that is accompanied by strong winds of more than 35mph and heavy rains had approached the gulf threatening to cause heavy downpour and severe traffic and electricity supply.
However, the weatherman still insists that Earl is a significant threat to the East Coast due to its expansive range. Earl was down graded to a category 3 storm early Wednesday but it is still a feared storm. The storm is expected to make a strike on Labor Day with farmers and insurers hoping it will not.
