The Latest Breakthrough In Tattoo Removal
Tattoos have been popular with people from around the world for millennia often as a sort of diary listing their lives as with the tribesmen of possibly the most famous tattooing culture the - Maori people of New Zealand. However, many people live to regret their tattoo, possibly from drunken errors of judgement, a name of a partner they no longer wish to be reminded of or a design that seemed like a good idea at the time. The problem is that tattoos are designed to be a permanent statement therefore their removal can be complicated, painful and prohibitively expensive.
Until recently the best way of removing an unwanted piece of body art is with a laser designed to break up the sub-dermal pigment until the body flushed it away via the immune system. This is not without its drawbacks as it requires heavily specialised equipment, scarring from the laser and multiple painful treatments over a period of time with a mixed success rate.
Now though there is a new method that has been pioneered in the US which involves injecting a special cream called Rejuvi under the skin to the same depth as the unwanted pigment via a newly invented micro-pigmentation gun. The reason the body's defenses don't reject tattoo ink is when it is inserted it is given a coating which effectively hide it from the body's immune system. Rejuvi works by bonding itself to the pigment effectively softening and breaking down this casing and revealing to the immune system the presence of a foreign body. The body then forces it the the surface of the skin. Here it forms a scab which lasts between 6-8 weeks and when it eventually falls of like any other scab; the ink which was previously under the skin goes with it.
A benefit of this method is that it utilises the body's natural processes and is far less painful than other messages such as the aforementioned laser treatments. Due to the number of visits to a professional the cost is also greatly reduced and the likelihood of scarring is lessened.
After-care is important with this treatment to minimise the risk of scarring and professionals liken the risk of scarring to any normal cut. This minor scarring can then be effectively hidden by a number of widely available concealer creams on the market offered by leading brands such as Avon, Clinique and Olay.
In summary, although not perfect, Rejuvi cram represents a major breakthrough in tattoo removal and is the cheapest, least painful and most effective method currently available.
