Home | News | Botnets Hacker Iserdo Nabbed in Maribor Slovenia
A 23 year old Slovenian believed to be behind attacks on PC has been arrested. Iserdo was arrested in Maribor Slovenia. Cyber crimes have been on the rise. Latest statistics show many young people are taking up hacking as apprentice and Iserdo is no exception.

hacker_538119082.jpgIserdo is wanted by FBI for creating a dangerous code that maliciously infected over 12 million computers. Iserdo managed this by creating a malicious software and created a code that infected these computers all classified as Botnets.

The 12 million infected computers infected include those owned by leading banks and global corporations. The FBI told away how Iserdo was manipulating these computers from his workstation. The 23-year-old Iserdo is known only as Iserdo and FBI is yet to release his real name. After a lengthy investigation, police were able to arrest the criminal after tracking him to Maribor Slovenia. The arrest was made by the Slovenian Criminal Police with FBI technical support and also Spanish police.

The Botnest investigations were launched 5 months ago. Iserdo was able to escape the police dragnet since then. 5 months ago, the Spanish police smashed a mega scum of hackers. It was the biggest cyber fraud unearthed ever. The Mariposa botnet was a mega scum that stole credit cards and online banking credentials. The Botnet is described as a network of computers infected using a specific code hence the hacker is able to control them without the owner having prior knowledge. In the Botnet scum, Fortune 1000 companies were victims along 40 major global banks.

FBI reports that Iserdo’s arrest is a big break in cyber crime war and that it will lead to further arrests and successful clamping on such mega-scum’s. Besides, the malicious code will no longer be in use since Iserdo will not be able to update it to manipulate the many computers still infected by it.
