Cloud Mail War intensifies between Giants Google and Microsoft
This means, a new corporate war has been opened between the two internet business giants. Google Inc and Microsoft Corp are angling and spurring to sell the ‘Web-based email and related software the US federal government.
Both technology giants have bid for the lucrative contracts, and are competing to see who wins it this time. Though not entirely meant for the government institutions only, ‘Cloud Mail can be used by private businesses as well as local government. Cloud Mail and related software is an application that allows such institutions to cut cost by using the web-based software and email through a software installed in their computers/servers.
Microsoft Corp and Google Inc are eyeing the lucrative mail markets. Both hope to win contracts to provide Cloud Mail to the General Services Administrations GSA. The GSA is the agency that manages all procurement done by government and it is solely responsible for the federal govt property.
