Men to be Locked Away for 250 Days
Romain Charles is one of the five volunteers. He says it will be an exciting and interesting experiment. The volunteers are said to be locked in a room and will have no access to the outside world. Only themselves. The 6 men will not have access to internet, T.V. or phone. When asked what they plan to do up there to keep busy, Romaine says they will exercise. Along with space projects that NASA will hand them, that is all they will have to do. A group of scientists, psychologists, and behavioral analysts will be watching their every move. They will study whether or not this experiment can be done. The crew is excited to see the outcome. The experiment is said to start on June 3rd.They will not be released until November of 2011. That is how long it is believed to get to Mars and back to Earth according to Russian space experts. No real space trip has been planned yet. This will all take place in a space modular.
