Frogs Shutdown Highway
The newest place for plagues this week is Greece. Imagine hundreds of frogs blocking the highway. It’s a little hard to imagine I know. Greece got to see and experience it for the first time this past week.
On Wednesday one of Greece’s main highways closed for 2 to 3 hours. The cause was due to at least a million frogs blocking the roadway. Drivers swarmed hoping to miss the frogs, but there was too many to drive around.
The incident happened near the city of Thessaloniki. It is a major city in Greece. It was recorded that 3 cars skidded off the road to avoid hitting the frogs. No reports have been made whether or not the drivers sustained bodily harm in the accidents.
No human injuries were recorded in the charade. The frogs were removed and the highway was opened up. It leaves everyone to wonder what is happening with the environment lately. Are all these weird animal sightings just plain weird occurrences? We’ll see in the days to come what else pops up.
