The best baked salmon recipe
Salmon is a great fish – the taste and the flavor are absolutely delicious. Cooking salmon is an easy job. You don’t need a lot of ingredients and the salmon will be done in no time. The best baked salmon recipe is the one that keeps the natural flavor of the fish. All you really need to season the salmon is some salt and pepper, lemon juice and zest, and a sparkle of dried oregano and rosemary. If you don’t like the herbs, you can simply ignore them. The salmon will taste great without them. Before starting to cook, you need to make sure you have everything you need. So, find an appropriate pan and some aluminum foil or baking paper. You will also need, beside the ingredients you use for seasoning the salmon, a good quality olive oil and all your favorite vegetables. You can bake the salmon and the vegetables in the same time and in the same pan. This way, you’ll have a complete meal – the main dish and the side dish – without any supplementary effort. Vegetables that work great with salmon are mushrooms, red peppers, tomatoes, potatoes, green onions and garlic.
Pre-boil the potatoes until they are half cooked, peel them and cut them in quarters. Wash the other vegetables and also cut them in pieces, if needed. Season the salmon pieces with salt and pepper and also add lemon juice and zest. Put some olive oil to the pan and place the salmon inside. Arrange all the vegetables in the same pan and sprinkle the dried herbs on top, if you like the flavor. Add a few drops of olive oil on every piece of salmon and on the vegetables. Cover the pan with aluminum foil or baking paper and put it in the hot oven, for about 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove the foil and leave the pan in the oven for another 5 or 10 minutes. This is a great baked salmon recipe, that goes very well with a spicy, sour dressing, made from crushed garlic, fat yogurt and lemon juice. All you need for the perfect dinner is a bottle of extra dry white wine.
