Give Your Ex Girlfriend Space

After breaking up with your girlfriend it is important to give her space.  After all, if you guys broke up then it's pretty obvious that she wants a break.  Is seems like common sense but a lot of guys don't give their ex girlfriend space after a breakup and in doing so it ruins their chances of getting back together.

So what does it mean to give your ex girlfriend space?  Simply put, it means that you leave her alone!  Don't call her, don't text her, don't comment on her Facebook status!  Again, this may sound like common sense but you'd be surprised at how many guys don't do this.  They often find excuses to call or text saying something like "you left that old scarf you obviously don't care about in my apartment, want me to drop it off?"

If you want to get your ex girlfriend back after she asks you to give her space then you need to disappear, vanish. Doing this will give her the time that's needed to begin missing you.  Also, when your girlfriend asks for more space it may be because you've just been too clingy these past couple weeks.  And guys, if you didn't know this already there is absolutely nothing attractive about being clingy.  Being clingy is guaranteed to end any relationship you're in.

Now that you're giving your girlfriend space you should use your free time to do something constructive, something to take your mind off her.  You should spend this time going to work on yourself in case you get back together with your ex girlfriend.  You should try to identify what behaviors led to her wanting more space and you should try to eliminate them.  However, nine times out of ten when your girlfriend asks your for more space it's because you're focusing entirely too much on her.  The best way to remedy this is to focus on yourself and your goals.  Start working out, join a softball league, start doing all the things you've always wanted to do but never felt like you had the time.  So this way when you do get back together with your ex girlfriend you'll be less focused on her and then oddly enough she might be the one that's clingy and you could be asking her for more space.
