Homemade Ice-Cream: A Royal Treat
For those hot summer days, cool off with a refreshing treat. Learning how to make your own ice-cream can be a lifesaver for the heat. Making your own ice cream, doesn’t just mean that you will save money; it means that you will always have a refreshing treat on hand when needed.
Go to Wal-Mart or Target and purchase an ice cream maker. Or a blender. There are a wide variety of brands. Choose the one that you like and that you personally think will do the job. Prices start out at $19.99. Make sure whatever you choose to buy is specified for ice-cream.
Step one is to choose the flavor you want for the ice-cream. Choose all ingredients you will need to make that specific kind. Make sure to keep anything that needs to stay frozen.
The second step is to place one cup of your choice of fruit into the blender. Add any flavoring you would like. Add 1 cup of frozen whipped cream. Add ¼ cup of sugar. Finally, add 1 ½ cups of Vanilla extract. Once all the ingredients are in the blender, you will want to mix them up until they are nice and smooth. Or to the texture you desire.
When everything is mixed up and to the texture you want it, you will have to store it into the freezer. Add the blended mixture into a freezer safe bowl or special bowls designed for storing ice-cream. Place in the freezer and wait for it to freeze. It might be best to wait overnight. If you want to enjoy your creation now, than wait for 2 to 3 hours and then enjoy!
Making ice-cream right from your own kitchen can be a blast for children. Help them get involved with making it. It will be a memory they can cherish for the rest of their lives. Take pictures if this is your first time. It may be off the wall to do, but you might one day look back and laugh at all the goofy faces you see smiling back at you.
With ice-cream you can make an array of flavors and colors. Mix it up each night, and create a new flavor. Experiment until you have the recipe down just right. It might take some practice before it comes out exactly how you want it. In a few tries though, you should be able to master the skill. This is a money saving and effortless way to make ice-cream.
