Too much stress can eventually take an impact on your health. Elevated stress levels on a weekly or daily basis can cause heart attacks, stroke, headaches, high blood pressure and other health problems. Knowing how to stop stress before it starts is the key to keeping your health in check.
Studies done in Canada and the United States show that the main trigger for stress are people’s work environment or work load. If the level of stress is high and not treated it can lead to suicide, pill and alcohol addiction, hysteria and other life altering down spiraling effects.
Various forms of exercise can decrease stress levels. Exercising gives off certain chemicals in the brain called endorphins, and gives the person a “happy and feel good” feeling. It has been shown to relax tense muscles and put the person at a state of calmness after. Their outlook on life and their self image increases and suicide or depression issues are less likely to affect people who exercise on a regular basis.

The main goal behind yoga is to help people learn to focus on their positive energy and not negative energy. With a little bit of practice people with high stress levels can incorporate breathing exercises learning in Yoga to control their stress level and help calm their senses.
Being out in nature can be a great release. Nature can help people get back in touch with their inner self and emotions. Any outdoor sport will help decrease stress levels and create a happier you. Hiking, boating, swimming, or simply taking a walk can help with stress. If you have an hour lunch break then try walking to your lunch destination or taking a stroll down the road. Clear your mind of any prior upsetting issues. Focus on the noises, sights, and smells around you. You will feel a rush of exhilaration as you focus on the positive outlook in your job and life.
Stress affects everyone on a daily basis. The level of stress can be low, moderate, or high. Knowing how to stay calm is the key. It can add years to your life and put back the happiness in your work life and home life as well. When you are stress free it will radiate from you and affect the mood of others around you. Remember to stay positive and the stress will melt away.
