Green tea is fast becoming one of the popular aids in weight loss these days. The effect of green tea is causing more people to consider including this in weight loss diet plans. Is all the hype true? Does it really work? How does green tea help one lose weight?

2. Green tea helps to slow down fat absorption – the catechins in the green tea extracts slows down the transition of glucose into fat cells.

3. Green tea helps glucose regulation – it helps to slow down the rise in blood sugar after every consumed meal. Green tea is also known to prevent insulin spikes.

4. Green tea helps to reduce appetite – with regular intake of green tea, you will experience a loss of appetite and you consume up to 60% less food. The reason behind the loss of appetite is the blood regulating effects of green tea.

These are just some ways that green tea can help you lose weight. For some, drinking green tea is something that is easy to do, but for others it is not something that they look forward to. These days, there are other methods of consuming green tea without having to drink 3-5 cups per day. Available in your local drugstore are green tea extract, green tea pills or a green tea patch.
