2010 Is The New 1970's
It’s an unpleasant thing to think about for some, I know. But with fall, comes beautiful colors and beautiful fashion.
Top designers such as VERSACE, Donna Karen, and Chanel (to name a few) are using big bold color for fall 2010. Vibrant oranges, greens and bright blues graced the runway stage in Paris. The colors of the 1970’s are coming back, and in a big way. VERSACE models showed that bright multicolored print is sexy and in style. They graced us with an array of red and blue multi print suits that are perfect for the everyday business woman. VERSACE even went electric, with leather sleeve length miniskirts. They came in an array of colors like bright green, blue, yellow and orange. Chanel followed, with their multi colored, edgy overcoats and skirts. The swirling of black, blue and reds intertwined each other to create a snake skin pattern.
If you thought fur was last year, than think again. Fur is coming back in a bigger way than what you think. Louis Vuitton showed off his designs that are sure to satisfy consumers fashion hunger and keep them warm all fall long. Their models sported poufy black fur hats, and mittens to match. Fur boots are still in style, with a few alterations. Louis Vuittton boots in 2010 will have thicker fur and higher the calf line. Now you can wear your favorite dress and boots all season, without worrying about the cold.
Snakeskin and leather is also a big item on the fall list for 2010. It was seen throughout all lines of designers on the runway. Louis Vuitton showed a hint of snakeskin design with purses this year. While others such as, Burberry Prorsum, put a lot of emphasis on leather. Waist length leather jackets, dresses, and skirts flowed nicely with the multi use of color. It is clear it is no longer the days, where leather was associated as just leather pants.
Designers like Burberry Prorsum, Calvin Klein and Chanel mixed leather and lace to create stunning pieces. Mixing fur with leather, leather with sleek dark cloth, or adding a touch of leather with snakeskin for more combinations, designers showed the essence of color and style.
Do you fancy snakeskin? Than incorporate it into your style. If you feel a chill and want to warm up with a little fur, then so be it. Thanks to some of the top designers, you can now feel free to let your inner 1970’s chick come out to play.
